Lexi is Ashley's longest and most fond friendship. They first met in 7th grade where they attended Elementary School together. They bonded over their shared love of grunge music, being a musician, 5SOS, and art. They first met in band class and from there the friendship blossomed. Lexi and Ashley were always spending the night at each other's houses, they used to pick which house would be best - if they wanted to play Just Dance on the Wii, it had to be Lexi's house. They constantly traded clothes, video games, and school supplies to where Ashley's family thought she had a new sister. They loved seeing movies, especially the new Marvel superhero movies (they were peak in the 2010's) and generally nerd out. They lost touch throughout High School, where both girls pursued marching band. After High School, they reconnected by ending up working at the same grocery store. They instantly connected again over a new shared love of Dungeons and Dragons, but also realizing that a shared love of board games had reignited the friendship.

Tess and Ashley met first in 2020 when Ashley visited Virginia. Tess is Daniel's one and only sibling. They feel like sisters even before the marriage, and Ashley feels incredibly lucky to be gaining another sister. Ashley's favorite memory of their time together was running down the beach in Corolla, North Carolina at the Outer Banks beaches. They had shared drinks and great food at a local brewery and got caught in a down pour. Ashley loves that Tess is truly a free spirit and can enjoy every moment without getting caught in it. They share a passion for animals and taking care of them, and if it were up to them - they would keep every stray cat they find on the street. Although Tess doesn't live nearby anymore, they know that they are never far from each other and that they'll always find sisterhood and family with each other.

Ashley met Jake at her first job in Virginia. They met at Starbucks in September of 2022 and their friendship has gone beyond the four walls of the workplace. Jake and Ashley have a shared love for Pokemon; while Jake focuses on the competitive aspect and Ashley loves shiny hunting. They played several games together and have a shared humor for DND memes. Jake and Ashley enjoy absolutely shredding in on Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii - seriously guys it takes mad skill to play Hard mode. Jake is one of those people that if you're lucky enough to find them, you will have a friend until the end. Ashley feels beyond fortunate to have a source of wisdom, and a new perspective in life. It is truly beautiful to have someone pour into your life the way Jake pours into his friendships. It may not be tradition for a man to be in the Bride's wedding party, Ashley feels that this friendship transcends tradition and is honored to have a friendship as valuable as theirs.

Daniel's friendship with David began 21 years ago while Daniel was visiting Hendersonville, North Carolina. David's mother saw a young boy, around David's age, across the street from their house. She thought David should go and introduce himself, so that he could have more friends to play with. After that day, they were inseparable throughout Elementary School and Middle School. The two boys were always hanging out - both inside and outside of school. It was never a question of "should" but rather a matter of whose house they would spend the weekend at. Even after Daniel and his family moved to Virginia just before High School, David and Daniel remained close and kept in touch throughout their young adult lives and remain best friends to this day.

Brandon is Daniel's longest friendship, they have known each other for 23 years. They were first introduced to each other in the First Year of Primary School in Bermuda. They grew up together enjoying football (soccer for you American folk), playing video games, and even taking Aikido classes together. Daniel moved away from Bermuda when he was 10 years old, and out of all the friendships he made there, he and Brandon's stayed the strongest. They constantly emailed, Skyped, messaged, and talked over the years. They continued to hang out and keep in touch, especially when Daniel would visit his Father, in Bermuda. Daniel spent a larger period of time in Bermuda during his college years, they made new memories with each new visit and recount their late summer nights with each other and friends, always reminding each other of their closeness.

Oliver, who both Daniel and Ashley refer to as Ollie, met Daniel in late 2019 through a shared hobby of shiny hunting Pokemon and small football (soccer for all the Americans reading this) teams. Despite living a whole ocean apart, they would play games regardless of the time difference, chat frequently over Discord and Twitter, and developed a close friendship before finally meeting in person for the first time in 2024. Ollie made the trip all the way from England to the United States to visit Ashley and Daniel in Washington D.C.. Ollie is close with both Ashley and Daniel, and is regarded as a friend for life.
